We had a small family party to celebrate Katie's birthday after church. Thankfully she had a long afternoon nap and was able to enjoy the festivities.

Shannon was such a help in the kitchen...thank you frosting lady! Clearly, the chocolate cupcakes were a hit with the birthday girl.

Riley, Lauren and Emma ready for the hike...

We ended up at the Santa Rosa Plateau for a short walk since it was getting late and quite chilly. I couldn't resist placing Katie in a meadow of spring wildflowers. She didn't seem to mind a bit!
Katelyn Elizabeth, we love you so much and are so thankful that the Lord added you to our family. You fill our home with joy and smiles every day!
